Since the 1960s, people who have made Blacksburg and the New River Valley their home have found the transition made easier by joining the Blacksburg Newcomers’ Club. Our organization is open to all residents of the New River Valley, whether you are new to the area or not. Making new friends and becoming part of the community is what we are all about. Community Service Fair hosted by the Charitable Endeavors Committee of the Blacksburg Newcomers Club
On Tuesday, January 10, 2012, the Charitable Endeavors Committee of the Blacksburg Newcomers Club will be hosting a Community Service Information Fair for volunteer organizations in our area from 9-11:30 at the Luther Memorial Church on the corners of Prices Fork and Toms Creek Road in Blacksburg. Each organization will have a booth set up to provide information about their services and volunteer opportunities in the NRV. The event will be open to both members and non-members so please consider bringing a neighbor or a friend and pass the word along!!
