Our speakers for April 14 are JessTabor and Tara Hanks from Meadowbrook library.
Jess Tabor and Tara Hank will be talking to us about the programs the Meadowbrook library offers to the Eastmont area. They work as the community center in the area. They provide a variety of programs for a diverse age group. The Free Fridge Initiative and School Supply Giveaway help ensure community members have access to basic necessities that support well-being and learning. The Free Fridge provides no-cost food to anyone in need, helping reduce food insecurity and food waste. The School Supply Giveaway helps local students start the school year prepared and confident.

Community members who wish to support these efforts may make checks payable to MFRLF, Inc., noting the purpose (e.g., “Back to School” or “Fridge”) in the memo line. Donate Items (e.g. Nonperishable food, fresh food, pet food supplies, and new school supplies (e.g. backpacks, pens, paper, highlighters). Donations can also be dropped off at the BBNC April General Meeting or at any MFRL branch year-round and sent to the Meadowbrook branch. We also collect formal dresses for prom all year long and make them available during late March, April and May to all high schoolers.
